Regular Club Runs

We know it can be hard to motivate yourself to get out the door, especially when there is a cold southerly pelting rain at you or when you need to get that long run in. We usually do one or two runs a week together – a midweek tempo session and a long run on the weekend.

Midweek Workout

At 5:30pm on a Tuesday we meet at the corner of Puriri Drive and Greenlane West for a tempo run. We leave by 5:35 sharp: email to let us know if you will be coming.

We sometimes mix in the Summer series orienteering events (

·         These start from 5:30, but you can arrive and start ANYTIME before 6:45 – great if you get caught at work.

·         They cost about $8 per event for as many goes as you like (ie do the long version competitively and take your family on a short course)

Weekend Long Runs

Long runs on your own are tough, so most weeks we try to get together to tackle them as a group. The venue is always changing, sometimes we will be local heading out to Ambury Farm Park and sometimes we will travel to somewhere more scenic like Bethels Beach or Tawharanui.  The list belwo shows the suggested distance workout for the weekend. We usually plan the location and start time at the midweek training session or on the Facebook page.
